and second reason is, i promised to blog about variants for the next post previously so i cant blog about other things >.< if not i would be breaking my promise ! (okay, i did break once) so enough of all this, its time now to blog about variants IV ! it's queer though, reviving the blog now, only to talk about the past. aiya, who cares ! as long as i like it will do !
i have loads of photos of the concert now ! haha ! some from mine and ex-cchcb now cch teacher mr nicholas wong as well as a few from fah jin !
the alumni met at 4pm at SCH where we were given a briefing about the concert, like how we were supposed to move up and down the stage, esp for those borrowing instrument from the main band for the performance etc. then we had our own rehearsal on the stage for about an hour or so.

we didnt manage to rehearse the 3rd song and the singing part due to the oh-so-punctual SCH workers. got chased at 6 on the dot>.< with no choice, we ended up practising the singing part at the backstage where it was so favourable for us cos there were a lot of echos when we started singing. haha.
and then, it was dinnertime !

and then we were ushered to the vip room to wait for our turn to arrive. in the meantime, we camwhored ! cos we had nth better to do. but jesica was well-prepared though ! she brought along her forbes magazine !

it was supposed to be orange but it didnt turn out as we wanted. wanted sth like guangyao's actually. he was the only one who didnt buy with the section so he was the odd one out ! and its not only this, based on gender and the trombone we are using, he's also the odd one out ! lol.

during the last song of the first-half, we had to go back backstage and prepare for our item that was after the interval. so prepare prepare, and very soon, the interval was over.
i was back on that stage again. the same stage where i had my first band concert and 2 syfs. the place was full of nostalgia, i tell you. and i rmb i always liked to look at the clock which was right in front of me. but it was off during the performance i think cos i dont rmb seeing the red numbers blinking in the dark.
it was heartwarming to see a bigger turnout at the concert itself becuase sometimes during practices, it can rly be that pathetic like this :
scary yea? that's why i was rly afraid initially of iniviting my friends to watch the concert. i fear that the alumni performance may not be good enough. fortunately, we managed to pull it off that day and that was good !
so we went back to the side wing again to catch the main band performance and ohmy, mr wong was rly sweet. he thanked the alumni for managing to set aside some time for rehearsals and practices in front of the audience ! i was surprised ! he even thanked those who couldnt make it for the performance but went to watch the concert that day ! and the scene was heartwarming with most of the band members sitting on the stage while some were playing the 'melodies of life'. the atmosphere was overwhelming.
it was rather touching and we sang the song alongside with the band members and the audience.
the reportoire continued later and mr wong played a solo! first time ever in concert !
and as usual, he had loads of funny stuffs on him again. HAHA ! the last variants, he wore a santa claus suit cos that period was near xmas then. this time round, he played with hats !
it ended with school song, the same as last variants and we did the same thing like how the alumnis did for the last concert. "ENCORE!" we all shouted ! of course, we were entertained with 2 more songs for the encore:) they played eurobeat ! and to end off with the concert, the alumni shouted the band cheer !
