HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY !!

okay. today is not the exact date but we had the celebrations !

went to school earlier than my usual timing ! i actually made it ! thought i will be late agn. wanted to help make the balloons but i ended up running around to find some fridge that can keep my jelly. ended up calling mrs chin cos i cant find mrs lim (i shall be nice and not call her ahma today. in fact, she is also very nice today ! :) probably because of the balloons haha ! )

and we had the aces day performance. this year was so cool. we had a trainer outside to teach us the dance steps during one of the pe lessons and we were supposed to dance it out today. it was only ytd that i realised the trainer who taught us during our pe lesson was justis, the guy from soul ! so cool right? but i didnt know it was him. LOL. he danced so well ! haha.

then it was celebrations! concert repertoire was okay. i like the chemistry brothers the most ! mr luke lau is rly entertaining ! he even bother to change the lyrics of collide just to teach us free radical substitution through that song ! rly interesting. i must go find out if anyone has a video on him. once i find it i will post it here ! you all should see esp if you all dont know free radical substitution ! maybe you will understand after listening to the collide (frs remix) LOL.

mass party was spent on eating and eating. haha ! took some pics too. but i dont have all like the class photo. shall go take from other ppl. and oh yeah, a balloon burst right in front of me when i went down the class block to pick it up (accidentally hit it down) OMG it was damn scary. it was like you held at one moment and the next, it just popped and it was gone ! sinyi and vaish laughed like crazy lah !

we gave ahma mrs lim all the balloons in the end. she seems very happy ! HAHA.

and omg. i think the 2 moons thing is really fake ! why why?? tell me why ! ZZZ. i even spent one hour plus outside, asking my dad to fetch me around so that i can catch the magnificent sight. or rather you had say, 'magnificent' sight. cos all i see the whole time when i was outside was a blanket of darkness except for the few occasional stars that brighten up the sky. i even thought then that the stars may lead us to the 2 moons ! aiyo silly me. my neck was aching after the whole thing cos i kept looking up to the sky. at least i got to enjoy a spin outside:) have not had that in such a long while ! and because of this too, i sacrificed time that was supposed to be spent on studying for organic chem quiz ! no wonder newspapers and news had no reports on that too. should have known earlier.ZZZ.

I am missing Olympics ! Cant believe 16 days have just passed. I will miss those times when i will switch on the television immediately once i have reached home just to catch some of the Olympic action. I will miss the daily Today in Beijing on channel 5. I will miss watching those world record breaking events. I am missing Olympics ! I think this year's Olympics is really successful. China is just so great man. And they even hit the 50 mark for their gold medal haul. FANTASTIC ! They have just got so many talented sportsmen !

So near yet so far. We are fourth once more for the table-tennis singles. But i think li jiawei still put in great effort as she managed to bounce back for the 3rd and 4th game after losing the first two games. At least we still have a silver medal :)

Seems like Singapore is only fated with silver medals. HAHAHA !

And i am still upset by the Gao Ning incident. Sigh.

Shall go watch the table tennis singles gold medal match. Exciting. Athens 2004 winner against Sydney 2000 winner. Wonder who will win. Haha. Wang Nan is currently leading. Lets see if she holds on till the end !

anyways, school today was as usual just that the class wore class tee to school today which makes us uber outstanding. haha. and bangrarobics is quite boring cos we keep repeating the same dance steps and sinyi was so sian throughout the whole thing. lol.

tmr is supposed to be a short day BUT ! there's econs test:( aiyah. maybe i can consider gng home first since sch ends at 12 and the test commences at 330. hmmm.

Singapore table tennis team got their silver medal, i have my own silver medal too !



haha. but how i got it is totally crap. LOL. i just joined this funfestique game called the hold back yr laughter where i am not supposed to laugh at the funny videos that are placed for us and triton got 2nd ! lol.

apparently, the videos aint that funny haha so i didnt laugh at all ! so pro right? i thought i would lose cos i am always laughing ! but getting a medal just because of that game is really quite silly. hahaha but nevertheless, the medal is mine now YAY ! can add on to my collection of sosososo FEW medals and trophies. lol.

anyway, my math sucks. i really need to improve on that. where were those days in cch when i can always get my A easily esp emath??

my mum just sent me a mail on this olympic weightlifter contestant.

look at him !!

he dislocated his right elbow and it went to the front !! ohmygoodness. it must be so painful ! and what a waste for him ! imagine training so hard for 4 years yet when it came to the big day, this had to happen. i will be so devastated if i were him.

okay enough of this. what a way to start my post man. i shall blog more about the happier events at the olympics. it's the olympics fever now !! even facebook is experiencing it now ! lots of superpoking applications now on olympics. throwing michael phelps, yao ming, shawn johnson and giving the gold medal to friends, it's quite fun haha !





SENSATION NO. 1 : Micheal Phelps ! the gr-EIGHT-test swimmer in the world !



he actually achieved him aim of 8 gold medals at the olympics !! and of course, lots of drama behind it, like the 4 x 100m freestyle event and the 100 m event he swam (cant rmb what event was that) the first one was thanks to jason lezak who managed to touch the end faster than france. who knows, he has his own drama too, thanks to his long arms, he managed to touch the end 0.01s faster than cavic !

cavic must be so furious ! he wanted to be the one who is gng to spoil phelps 8 gold medal aim. and to lose by 0.01s only, i would not take it lying down if i were him. haha. 0.01s only omg. so close yet so far... but phelps is indeed really great ! he broke world record for all events except for that individual drama event. haha. fantastic !

'eat, sleep and swim. thats all i can do' ,OMG. like that also can earn millions of dollars from his achievements and swimwear endorsements. i am sosososo jealous of him ! i also want !

SENSATION NO. 2 : SINGAPORE WINS A MEDAL IN THE OLYMPICS AFTER 48 LOOOOOOOONG YEARS !



i was sosososo happy when i knew that we had gotten into the finals and could stand a chance in winning a gold ! so elated ~ though we got a silver in the end, i would say team singapore had done their very best alrdy ( though there is some controversy about li jiawei who kept smiling from the start till the end of the competition, as if she doesnt bother if we get a gold or silver in the end. because what's impt to her is only getting a medal etc etc.) i mean china is quite formidable. it will not be easy to defeat them when whatmore, it's our first time in the finals and facing them !



and it feels good to see the national flag hanging up there !



i have never seen the national flag raised during the evictory ceremony before except on the 17th august. what a memorable day ! it should be made a public holiday as mark richmond suggests. haha !

11 August 2008 - Gathering with Jesica !

it was in fact a farewell gathering for Jesica cos she is leaving for UK in September and will not be back until 2 years later !! ohmy. i think i will miss her !

the gathering had to be held much earlier as that day was the only day that we all can make it. during late august the sec4s will be having their prelims so it's not possible to meet up and sept is prelims so we cant meet up either. thas why it had to be held so early.

we wanted breakfast at the hawker centre at first cos we thought jesica will miss all the local fare when she leaves for overseas but how 'sway' can we be man. we went there and realised the cleaners were washing the hawker centre so it was not opened !! Washings at the hawker centre only take place once in a few months and it just had to happen on the day when we want to go there makan >.<

gathering was not awkward even though we had not met up for quite a while. a lot of topics to chat about. haha. from our studies to olympics to band, we had quite a long chat. happy happy. thought of sending jesica off on the day she is leaving but her flight is at 2 am ! so i am not sure if i will be gng yet.

we gave her a present too ! some aromatic stuff. not sure how it looks like cos i didnt get to see it personally. and the person who bought it (meixin) didnt even know what was that too. zzz. haha.

sinyi and vaish cheated me early in the morning ! >.< was quite pissed at first. i was late for the meet-up and the already guilty me felt even worse when sinyi called to say everyone had reached except for me and that they were only waiting for me !! even ahma reached too ! in the end i realised i was cheated when i reached !

we went toastbox for breakfast.





aiyo. lousy me couldnt break the egg that was in the breakfast set i bought. vaish helped me break the first one. i tried to break the second one and i succeeded ! :D:D

must be the power of sunlight ! haha. but the weird thing is only 2 of the 3 photos are affected ! the last photo that is considered to be the most exposed to sunlight however remains the same ! and all the photos were printed by peiqi using the glossy paper. it's queer that only 2 of the 3 photos are affected. unless the sunlight did not shine on that photo? (edited: i realised the colour did fade for the third photo so there is some change in that photo too !) lol. ganesh and khairi so funny lah, put their passport sized photo there. haha.

we shall take a full and proper class photo tmr ! :D:D

CLASS TEE ! it's finally done !

BUT....

janice's name is not there !! OMGOMGOMG. i didnt realise that her name was missing from the design and just send it to the supplier >.<

janice must be so sad ! thought of re-printing but it will cost $80 to add her name into the class tee. i thought everyone will be very happy cos we managed to get the tee in time before 0808 but now...

i must find some way to make up to janice. was thinking of buying those alphabets @ spotlight then iron on but it can be too ex yea? cos need buy for 25 ppl.

so now, i am thinking of fabric markers, those that can write on shirts. but class tee is dri-fit, dont know if fabric markers will work.. if not, what markers can work??

can anyone tell me? i need to know it by today !!

aiyo. today was so embarassing.

i was asking my mum today if it was our first time visiting compass point when this girl who was in front of us, turned behind and gave me the OH-MY-SINGAPORE-IS-SO-SMALL-YET-THIS-IS-YOUR-FIRST-TIME-IN-COMPASS-POINT expression

its just not on the way for me to visit the mall what.. haha though i just found out there's a direct bus that brings me there from home and it takes about half an hour to 45 minutes :P but.... ahh. who cares. at least i can now proudly say that i have been to compass point !


anyway, daddy went overseas for some work stuffs today. not very far though, just KL only. haha. but that meant that i have to go school on my own on tuesday and wednesday. and NAUGHTY ME couldnt wake up at 6plus in the morning to send him off >.<

and NAUGHTY ME has not started e-learning yet which thereby make me incur an opportunity cost which is the time that could be spent on watching initial D ! but oh well, at least i have watched it before so it's okay ! but NAUGHTY ME should stop blogging now and do some e-learning !

so that's the end of my post.

today is the start of august which means byebye to my unforgettable yet hectic july!

it brings me mixed feelings now that it is over. on one hand i cant bear for july to end so fast just like that yet on the other hand i am happy cos i know my parents do want me to settle down to start mugging. but anyhow, it's over already so i should REALLY REALLY work hard for promos so that i can go japan at the end if the year to visit meiden again !!

and i reached home early today !!! HAHAHAHAHAH. it has been like 3547252356842 days since i have reached home so early ! :D i am a happy girl today ! finally, there is like once i reach home earlier than sinyi ! and finally she has got sth in her cca for her to do. lol.

today has been a short day and i am happy :) because i passed my SPA trial! yay ! first time i see some decent grade in my chemistry and there is not much scribbling from pomelo!. at least i need not see so many exclamation marks now o.O haha!

since july has been such a busy month for me, i shall post more about the things that happen in july !!

11th JULY 2008 - the last meet-up with kaiyi before she leaves for Australia

tricia couldnt make it that day cos of her campfire preparation. and i skipped my chem lecture just for her ! so nice right!

got lost halfway on the way cos i forgot how to walk in to her house. haha. thankfully, kaiyi's mum gave me directions.



we were looking through this particular collage amanda and the rest of her friends make for her and we saw our p6 class photo ! and as we look through, we realise our p6 classmates are damn smart ! as we scrutinise each row, we realise most of them are either at raffles or victoria ! and i am in meridian... BUT ITS OKAY ! if we all do well for our 'A's we can still meet each other in uni ! we might even take up the same course ! that is if we have the same interest :)

and we went on to play with kaiyi's tkgs doll!




we had so much fun with the doll and i have no idea why. chan tried to style the doll's hair using the belt as the hairband!

and before i left, chan suggested a change of uniform ! almost thought i couldnt fit into her uniform cos she is so skinny and i am....... i am not fat lah, just fatter than her. but phew, i manage to fit into her uniform !
