Today's band prac was oh-so-tiring. I felt giddy during combined for the first time lol.

Anyway, I realise a lot of money has been spent for this trip. Like buying SD card, battery, daybag and some winter clothing. And not forgetting that I gotta pay more for a specific amount of yen since the yen now is stronger (edited: but thanks to Trish's mum, i gotta pay a bit lesser than usual! heh:D)

Pretty saddened about the death of the Singaporean in Mumbai. She's young, beautiful and her future seems so promising with her career as a lawyer. It's like you study so hard to be a lawyer and now you're gone. Such a waste. And she was there just for a one-day seminar. ONE DAY!! oh dear. I also found out that her mother-in-law turns out to be my primary school teacher! Such a coincidence. Haven't seen Mrs Puhaindran in a long time and never did I expect that the next time I were to see her again would be through the newspaper and of such tragic news. I guess she doesn't rmb me though since the last time she taught me was exactly a decade ago. I don't even know if she's still teaching at KCP. Perhaps not I guess. I just hope that her family would be able to pull through the ordeal at this point.

Today seems like an auspicious day too! for i saw 2 wedding couples having their photos taken at Bedok Reservoir Park. I thought the Singapore Botanic Gardens would be a better idea actually. Like er, more greenery? But isn't it very hot in the first place to have yr wedding photos taken in the garden? Wearing such a long gown and posing under the scorching sun.. wow!

And speaking of Botanic Gardens, chan, trish and I wanted to have a small lil picnic there today. Haha but chan woke up late so we're gng to have tea later instead at Parkway! Gna check the exchange rate as well.

went to chan's house ytd! we played hotel626! but we're cheater bugs! before 6, we actually alter the timing of the laptop to after 6 so that we can play HAHA. and even though we played before 6 (around 5 plus), i was still frightened by the sound effects! it feels so real watching the video and playing it, scary! we missed out some personal stuffs though, like having our polariod photo up cos we dont have a webcam and not giving our hp numbers lol.

I can't believe Bob actually came out with this idea of crafting a fake idol! Hahahaha, totally didnt expect that from him! I gotta say, he's just good in Arts&Crafts.


And he managed to fool Randy with that. He must have been so pissed and embarrassed at tribal council then! Really, like all the contestants couldn't stop laughing when Probst said that was not an immunity idol and threw it into the fire! Marcus and Charlie were amazed and laughed too! But i feel he deserved it. He thinks too highly of himself, and he is childish too. Like the chocolate biscuit incident. ohmygosh. Today's episode is the funniest of all.

"Tonight is going to be the funkiest night of your life" lol! seriously, it does!

And I'm guarantee plus chop certain he is indeed childish.

Like wth? Does he know that Matty was the one who voted him out? Bob, though evil to have passed him the fake Idol, didn't vote him out! Probably because of their close bonds, he didn't wanna vote for him since he knows how the results will turn out to be.

the 2 birthday girls!

went to mind cafe @ boat quay ytd with the 2 girls, yeeling, shuhui, xinyi and yunjie! we had so much fun playing the boardgames there! there are so many quirky and interesting games. luckily the people there helped us and introduced us to many cool games!

i esp love 2 games that we played! first one was JURASSIC JUMBLE!

this game is so exciting. it's sth similar to heart attack though. each person is supposed to have 9 cards each in their hands and they have to keep swopping cards until all their 9 cards are in the same colour. you can swop with anybody but the number of cards you swop must be the same as the other person swopping with you and you must swap the same colour cards each time. super exciting cos there were 7 of us and only 6 bones available!!!!! which means one person will lose and there will be forfeits!!!!

but we are kind ppl(: didnt come out with any forfeits in the end (actually we cant think of any. we just wanted to play! LOL) the game got more and more exciting as we went on to have many rounds. haha cos we got the hang of it and our speed got faster! and we became very mean too. hahaha. whoever wins will take the bone secretly and not let anybody know! so we can see who is the not observant one.

it was super funny. cos the first game we played after coming out with this rule, i was the winner. i took the bone away and nobody noticed!!! they were all busy swopping cards, ignoring me as though i was transparent even when i kept waving that stupid bone in front of them!!! REALLY FUNNY I TELL YOU. you can see how serious they were in the swopping. "2 cards! 2 cards! 3cards! 1 card!" lol!

then karyn the tamjiakia finally saw me waving the bone and she took one too! but she didnt wave her bone with me. instead she went on to continue the game! after that shuhui sort of noticed like how come there were so few bones on the table and she at last saw me frantically waving the bone too! and then she screamed "AMANDA GOT THE BONE!!!" and everyone started yelling and grabbing the remaining bones from the table! HAHAHAHA

the second game that i liked most is SNORTA!

for this game, we are supposed to choose an animal and then make a sound of it. our pets will be given a house each as seen above so that ppl cannot see which animal we have. we will be given 5 cards each and each of us has to take turn to turn over the card. when any 2 similar cards appear, the person who calls the sound of the other person first wins! loser will have to take all the cards from the winner and starts the game again. the game gets more complicated when we had the swop card. cos we have to shfit our houses to the left and we will adopt a new animal and a new house! pretty confusing esp when you just rmb everybody's sound! and the swop card came out twice! (all from me oops!)

this is karyn gng hysterical when she cant imitate the sound properly esp for my 'cuckookookoo'! HAHAHAHA!

i guess its pretty worthwhile to go there esp for ladies on tuesdays! because after happy hours where you only pay $5 for free-flow of drinks and boardgaming (you can add another $6 for main course), there is ladies night from 6 to 9pm where there is free boardgaming again! how cool is that! when the person told us, we were so happy! but i had to leave early:( cos i alrdy arranged to meet my mum for the sg food expo.. so sad! if not could have stayed longer and play somemore!

so to all ladies out there, be sure to visit the cafe on tuesdays! HAHA. free advertising for mind cafe. lol.

we actually had our lunch there. food is not too bad, quite a large serving. but the chicken cutlet got a lot of fats! and salad sauce too much. but otherwise, its reasonably good!


cake-cutting at mind cafe as well! we are seriously not good at planning surprises. cannot hide anything from them. we are too honest alrdy. hahaha.

i feel bloody screwed today. i rly feel f***** up. sorry for being vulgar.

firstly it was the class outing. i thought all was fine when i sms everyone cos no one told me they cant go cept for shawn. then only this evening shuhui told me some ppl either dont know cos change hp no or they not gng but never tell me at all. and because of all this checking who gng/ not gng, deciding on place to meet up early to buy stuffs and finding ppl to accompany me to buy stuffs/ go for the celebration, i ended up sms-ing from 5 plus until now. my hand is aching now esp when i also took flu jab today. so now my left arm is quite sore? yea, just feel uncomfortable on my left arm. and i'm super scared of my handphone vibrating again. zzz. means i gotta sms again.

then when i came back home, my mum start nagging at my dad for forgetting to close the window. and she went on and on and on. the incessant nagging. and then my dad will start... bloody irritating. then jessica called and talked about chalet. i had been actually looking forward to it, thinking about how we can go arcade play, go kbox sing and go nebo cafe play! but the only available date is next weekend amd its far too rush for me cos i need that weekend to pack my luggage for japan trip. so in the end? cancelled. and i think the next one will only be held at the end of next year. that's like another 365 days. zzz. no choice. so continued with my mum and dad. my dad overheard my conversation with jessica then start complaining about me grad from cch alrdy still wanna meet up with them.. studies no good still go out, out, out. and then he talked about band. like shit can. from gng out talk until band. then my mum came in and said why must be so kp go organise some stuffs when ppl also cant go. and then her 'rock concert' starts. it's like some slippery slope. from one thing go on to the other thing.

i feel so vexed ! life is just so screwed for today. and i also forgot to say i got cheated by this cobbler today. just sealing one side of my shoe's sole costs me $2 ! and only need to seal a bit lo ! my mum said it only cost $0.50 in the market. which means i got cheated ! he is charging me 400% the price can. and he nailed a nail into my shoe which is protruding out and i didnt realise. so tmr i gotta go back to him again. and he only opens at 12 when i'm meeting yj they all at city hall at the same time. zzz.

tell me, dont i feel screwed today. i'm feeling so frustrated. need some anger management games now.

yucks. chrystal is such a biatch. urgh. i rly cant stand her. why is she still in Survivor?! and kenny. he is always influencing ppl's opinion of others. i just don understand why is it that when Sugar doesnt trust Chrystal at all, she doesnt vote for her. and why is it that when Sugar does not trust Kenny too, she listens to him and votes Charlie out? this is so ridiculous.

and i found it so gay when charlie said about chrystal being so bad as to vote his marcus out. HAHA. okay i'm rly sad that he was eliminated cos what is left of the merged tribe now are mostly losers. ugh. they are just so irritating. not only chrystal and kenny. randy is getting too arrogant for his own good and corrine is so bitchy. argh.

but at least charlie and marcus are having a lot of fun at ponderosa ! i watched videos of them at ponderosa just now. charlie looks so much better-looking after removing that beard ! he's quite good-looking actually. very boyish haha. and i cant believe they actually spent hours thinking what outfit they should wear for their tribal council as members of the jury. hahaha.

i rmb telling peiqi just now that i dont eaat after 9 or 10pm but i have to eat my own words now. lol. my mum, being worried that i will be hungry cos i only ate bread and biscuits for dinner, told my dad to buy tang yuan for me. but he ended up with not only the tang yuan, but chicken wings and otah! omg. and i only finished all these by midnight. which explains why i'm still awake now. cos i need to digest all these unhealthy food. i'm so gng to gain those pounds that i've lost. arghhh!

2. yen is getting stronger and currently i need $865 to change for 55000 yen DOUBLE BOO

i forgot to mention, BIG BAND SHOWCASE is an extremely challenging piece to play. it requires a range of pedal B flat to high B flat. ohmygosh. and with the plunger plus the woo wa thing, it is so tiring mentally and physically.

MINI CLASS OUTING AT K-BOX !

YAY ! finally got all the pictures from peiqi ! after pw last week, we went kbox to celebrate our victory :D i usually go kbox with cch trombone section only. this was my first time gng with other friends but it's still fun nevertheless !

and becauase we had around 10 ppl, we were given a super big room !

SO BIG RIGHT??

we went high when we saw the room cos it was our first time getting such a big room for kbox ! instead of a normal tv which you sing to, you got a BIG PROJECTOR ! and whats more, the 4 mikes in the room are CORDLESS ! how great can that be? :) there was also a POOL TABLE ! but i figure you gotta pay extra cos there were no pool balls and sticks available. haha ! and we got FOOD too ! usually when i go for kbox from 2 to 7 pm with trombone section, we were only served drinks and snacks. but this time round, we had NUGGETS and FRENCH FRIES ! service not bad. goodgood. haha.

Hahaha. Just in time. Few mins later i will be leaving home for band. Briefing at 4 about japan trip. Heard that there are a couple of changes. I want to go imperial palace and disneyland and take bullet train ! Hopefully we will still have all these. That will be so great ! And i pray that the yen will not be so strong so i can change my $$ quick. LOL.

this name is so obvious. we named her orh-ce kia cos she's always falling down ! just like this pic of her ice-skating for pe elective. hahahahaha. she came back with a BIG ORH-CE ! very big and obvious, not like those small little bruise that we have. very disgusting lo. and the thing is she always gets that type of BIG BIG ORH-CE. recently she had another fall from her farming and it's that type of big big patch again. so prone to falling down~ thats why we call her ORH-CE KIA ! and it's also very nice to call !! :D

just now in school was sooooo funny ! i was chatting the whole time in the library with vaish then around 12 she had to leave so i just went off with her. we went to the toilet and i happened to meet jannah there. there was supposed to be sectionals at 1230 so i asked for the band room keys from her so that i can go in first. she told me it was in her front pocket of her bag outside the library. so vaish accompanied me to the library outside to look for her bag.

tried searching for the key but cant find it. later we found a bunch of keys at the side pocket so we just took it. in the midst of walking, vaish was asking if this was jannah's own keys or sth. i guessed she asked that cos there was a mickey chain attached to it. so i was like "yea her own keys. president and vice-president have"

went to the band room and realised that the horn section was there alrdy but the back door was locked. so i used the band room keys i got from jannah to open the door. jiayi offered to help me open the door but i signalled to her that i got the key so no need to help me. lol. then i continued to try every single key onto the door but to no avail ! there were somemore 2 key holes on the door so i keep trying and trying until i gave up in the end and decided to just enter by the front door.

and guess what, when jannah came and i asked her,

it turns out that I TOOK HER HOUSE KEYS BY MISTAKE!

so embarassing ! ARGHH !

QUANTUM OF SOLACE

Went to watch @ suntec just now. Action flick. Very exciting. But i don't rly understand the story omg. i was just simply admiring all the fighting scenes, thinking to myself how much time and effort that must have been put in to film the scene. haha and admiring daniel craig too ! heard that he even went for a minor plastic surgery cos he hurt himself during filming. so poor thing right?

anyway, after the movie, there was this ogawa fair thing at the ground level. my mum & i went to try the massage chair and i saw this speaker-like thing on the chair handle. the sales assistant said it's for aromatherapy. and omg, the first thing that came to my mind was PW !

i know it's not the topic that my grp did but i just suddenly rmb majority of the grps in my class are doing projects relating to therapy -- fish therapy, aromatherapy and colour therapy ! so i was reminising about PW stuffs and all then the sales assistant went on to say there are beads inside to provide aromathic smell etc. and the first thing that came to my mind again was shuhui's proposal better than penadol ! haha i dont know why ! i just rmb about some capsules thing that she was saying !

cos the sales assistant said we can put essential oils instead of beads since it's quite ex, my mum said she wants to put lavender. the sales assistant also agreed, saying that it's chosen by most consumers. then again, i thought of PW ! this time, it was my grp's survey results on the most popular scent for the fish therapy room for my proposal. and lavender was ALSO the most popular choice by majority of the survey respondents !

ohmy ohmy. i'm so missing PW lol. am i suffering from post-pw syndrome?

anyway, i went to visit survivor cbs website and found out that marcus actually graduated from harvard ! like ohmygosh, he is dashing and smart and tall !!! but it's a pity he was eliminated in the recent episode of survivor. i didn't think that he would be the one ! i thought it would be susie since she is one of the weakest player in the kota tribe despite the changing of tribes once again. so when my mum off the tv, i thought it would be susie for sure so i didnt bother about it. until i chanced upon louis's blog did i realise that it was marcus and not susie !

I WAS SHOCKED, LITERALLY SHOCKED ! like how is this game going on now, seriously? the stronger players are getting ousted, leaving the weaker players to fight among themselves. as sugar says, "welcome to the game". that is so not fun. susie and chrystal are just some backstabbers in the game. argh. they had better not win this game, please.

and charlie is rly gay. he is not that bad-looking what, why doesnt he like girls? haha okay, i shan't be nosey. i wont know the reason anyway. but aiyah, usually the good-looking ones are gay. so yea. face up to reality. luckily marcus is not ! HAHA.

i guess i will miss my group a lot. times we have spent tgr. t3 was our fav hangout and we were thankful that our picture didnt come out in stomp HAHA. had a lot of fun with them, esp teasing each other etc. hope we will still remain that close when it's just back to lectures and tutorials :D

i was rly worried before the OP you know. like i can't sit still and my hands were really cold. i don't know why. everytime when i'm nervous, my hands would always turn cold, esp after visiting the toilet where i wash my hands !

so i tried calming myself down since one of the sentences in my script was

'music helps ward off depression and calms patients'

so i make use of the word 'calm' to tell myself to calm down and not be nervous. i'm so glad i was not rly soft during the presentation but i kinda regret that i stumbled towards the end of the presentaion which was quite a pity. Q&A was okay. i do hope it is relevant !

and i like my group's video a lot even though aromatherapy's one is also very nice ! haha. need to get the link from hoon and i shall make my own character playing the trombone ! lol.
